TAKE ACTION FOR HUMAN RIGHTS
END APARTHEID AGAINST PALESTINIANS BY THE GOVERNMENT OF ISRAEL
Millions of Palestinians live under a system of oppression that deliberately holds them in inferior status to Jewish Israelis. Amnesty’s report concludes that this mistreatment amounts to apartheid. Apartheid must end.
Apartheid is a crime against humanity under international law. It is committed when specific serious human rights violations are perpetrated with the intent of maintaining a system of prolonged and cruel discriminatory control of one racial group by another.
Our research confirms that the government of Israel has created and maintains these types of laws, policies, and practices that deliberately oppress Palestinians. This includes seizures of property and policies that make it impossible for many Palestinians to build homes. Additional violations include unlawful killing and serious injury, torture, forcible transfer, persecution, and the denial of many other basic rights and freedoms.
Amnesty's report is based on years of research and human rights legal analysis. Amnesty International does not take sides in conflicts anywhere in the world, nor do we support or oppose any government, group, political party, or ideology.
Our human rights concerns are about the policies, laws, and actions of the government of Israel, not the Jewish people. It is crucial not to conflate legitimate criticism of crimes under international law committed by the government of Israel with antisemitism. As an anti-racist organization, we staunchly oppose discrimination, racism, and hate crimes in all forms.
Take action: Send your letter directly to Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett now.
As a first step, we're urging Prime Minister Bennett to cancel all orders for forced evictions and home demolitions against Palestinians, and to end forced displacement of Palestinians.
