TAKE ACTION FOR HUMAN RIGHTS
URGENT: TWEET AT BIDEN
LATEST NEWS: President Biden sent Congress a proposed U.S. refugee admissions goal for fiscal year 2022, starting this October 1, 2021. At a time when Afghans, Haitians, and millions of others around the world are fleeing violence and persecution, the U.S. must admit up to 200,000 refugees. The President’s proposed goal of 125,000 simply falls short when it should meet the urgency of the moment.
It is indisputable that these crises should have been foreseen and averted. However, President Biden has the opportunity to reverse course and show leadership. The U.S. must welcome refugees and asylum-seekers into our communities and ensure they have the ability to resettle and thrive in their new communities.
Take a moment to demand action by tweeting at President Biden right now.
