Breonna Taylor’s killing in March, at the hands of Louisville Metro Police officers, was yet another wake-up call for the United States. Her memory has kickstarted a vital process here in Kentucky: banning police tactics like the no-knock warrant that led to her death, and threaten the lives of Kentuckians.

Act Now: Urge your representative at the start of this year’s new legislative session to co-sponsor Breonna’s Law (H.B 21) now.

Breonna’s Law will protect the lives of everyone living in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. It has been filed for the 2021 state legislative session and has the potential to be passed with your help.

This legislation would increase police accountability measures across the state by:

  • Banning no-knock search warrants;
  • Requiring law enforcement officers to activate body cameras when serving a warrant and when engaging in other law enforcement activity;
  • Mandating drug and alcohol testing after a deadly incident.

Send a message to your representative, letting them know that this issue is important to you. Urge them to co-sponsor Breonna’s Law now.
