The US government has only released a redacted version of the executive summary of the United States Senate report on Central Intelligence Agency torture of people it had detained, many of whom are still in indefinite detention without trial in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba today.
The executive summary showed that the CIA’s interrogation program was far more brutal and less effective than the CIA told Congress, the White House, the public, and the media. But the full report on the CIA’s post-9/11 torture of detainees remains classified.
We need to see the full report to know the full truth of what happened.
On this important anniversary, Amnesty International USA is calling for the Senate’s torture report to be fully declassified and released, and for all those responsible to finally be held accountable.
Tell the Biden Administration to declassify the full torture report.
