War has ensnared more than 22 million Yemenis in what has become the world's worst humanitarian crisis today. Severe and acute malnutrition threatens the lives of almost 400,000 children under the age of five and 11 million Yemenis are at risk of famine.

The United States has played a large role in feeding the conflict, by supporting Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirate (UAE) led coalition in Yemen by selling weapons and providing technical and logistical support.

There is a bill in Congress that will halt all weapons sales to the Saudi-UAE led coalition, and end our support of this disastrous intervention. Take action now: Tell your Senator to stop the arms sales contributing to the Yemen crisis!

The United States must end its support for the Saudi-UAE led coalition’s disastrous intervention in Yemen immediately. Since 2015, war has ensnared more than 22 million Yemenis in what has today become the world's worst humanitarian crisis, with three out of every four Yemenis in dire need of assistance. Severe and acute malnutrition threatens the lives of almost 400,000 children under the age of five, tens of thousands have been killed in the fighting, and 11 million are at risk of famine.
The U.S. government is failing in its duty to protect human rights. It must stop. Therefore, we respectfully urge you to support the bipartisan Saudi Arabia Accountability and Yemen Act of 2019. Key elements of this legislation supported by Amnesty International include:
 
○ Suspension of weapons sales to Saudi Arabia
○ Prohibition on U.S. refueling of Saudi Coalition Aircraft engaged in the civil war in Yemen
○ Accountability report for all actors in Yemen in violation of international war or guilty of war crimes and harm to civilians
○ Report on human rights in Saudi Arabia
○ Sanctions on those responsible for blockading aid to Yemen and Khashoggi’s killing
