Take Action for Human Rights

Tell the Venezuelan Government: Stop The Repression And Violence Against Its People

Thousands of people in Venezuela have taken to the streets to protest the serious institutional and human rights crisis that has gripped the country.

Instead of seeking solutions, the authorities have responded by sending military and police officials onto the streets to arrest adults and children.

Amnesty International has been documenting the grave human rights violations and crimes under international law that have taken place in Venezuela since the crisis worsened in January 2019. The organization has documented extrajudicial executions, unlawful use of lethal force, arbitrary mass arrests and ill-treatment of people who speak out against Maduro’s government.

Protesting is a human right — and using bullets in an attempt to silence those who make legitimate demands for their human rights only leads to further crisis in Venezuela.

This isn’t the first time an assault on young people by authorities has happened in Venezuela. Young people in Venezuela are living in poverty, and being killed and criminalized for it by the authorities.

Tell the Venezuela government to stop the repression and violence against its people!
