Call Congress: Tell them to pass common sense gun reform

The US government is obligated under human rights law to prevent gun violence. But instead of passing comprehensive, common-sense human rights-based reform, Congress is on the verge of passing a bill that will flood the country with concealed guns—likely leading to more deaths. It’s called the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act (S. 446 / H.R. 38) and you can read Amnesty’s human rights analysis of this dangerous bill here. It’s reportedly the NRA’s number one legislative priority for the year. We need your help to stop passage of this life-threatening bill and to convince Congress to pass human rights reform.

Hello, I live in _______ (state) and I urge the Senator to vote no on S. 446, the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. If passed into law, this dangerous bill would likely lead to more deaths, in violation of human rights. Congress should instead pass comprehensive, common sense human rights-based reform to prevent gun violence, including universal background checks and a ban on so-called assault weapons. Thank you.
