PROTECT HUMAN RIGHTS ORGANIZATION CINEP
Colombia UA 57.26
The Popular Research and Education Center / Programme for Peace (CINEP/PPP) is a Colombian human rights defense organization and think-tank based in Bogotá, Colombia. Since 1972, when it was founded by the Society of Jesus, CINEP/PPP has been one of the leading organizations documenting and denouncing political violence in the country and promoting human rights. On May 3, 2026, the Gaitanista Army of Colombia (A.K.A. Gulf’s Clan) published an intimidatory statement against CINEP/PPP. Far from being an isolated event, this was at least the second time the Gaitanista Army of Colombia publicly intimidated and stigmatized CINEP in recent months.
