JOIN THE YOUNG RESPONDERS NETWORK

The Young Responders Network is a youth‑led movement for activists in grades 5-8, that provides ways to take action for people around the world who have been treated unfairly. Some of these individuals have been jailed, hurt, gone missing, or silenced because of their work as teachers, poets, musicians, activists, students, journalists, authors, or librarians. They are being punished simply for speaking up and sharing their ideas, a basic human right called freedom of expression.

As a member of this network, you’ll take part in guided letter‑writing campaigns, group discussions, and hands‑on activities. These experiences will help you learn how to stand up for human rights, speak out against censorship, and build real‑life advocacy skills that matter today.

By writing letters to government leaders, embassies, or even directly to the individuals at risk, you’re joining a huge movement of young people working to protect human rights for everyone, everywhere.

Each month, you’ll receive 2-3 Young Responders Urgent Actions, detailing real cases and teaching you how you can make a meaningful difference. Whether you are an educator looking to bring human rights into your classroom, a parent looking for ways to talk about these issues with your children, or a student activist wanting to build practical skills, sign up today to write a letter and change a life!
