Palestinians in Gaza are facing horrifying levels of starvation — and now, Israel has turned aid sites into death traps.

Under Israel’s new militarized “aid” system — implemented by the U.S.-Israel-backed “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” (GHF) — more than 800 people have been killed and 4,000 injured while trying to reach distribution points. This is not humanitarian aid. It’s another tool of Israel’s genocide against Palestinians.

Putting the word humanitarian in a name doesn’t make something humane. The GHF isn’t just failing to deliver help… it’s actively endangering people who are starving.

Meanwhile, warehouses of aid sit untouched. Tons of food, clean water, medical supplies, and fuel from legitimate humanitarian organizations are being blocked by Israel.

The U.S. must stop backing this system. Join us to urge the U.S. to pressure Israel to immediately and unconditionally lift its illegal blockade, restore the unified UN-led humanitarian system, and end its genocide in Gaza.

I am writing as a constituent deeply alarmed by the escalating humanitarian catastrophe in the occupied Gaza Strip and by the deadly role of the Israel-U.S. backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).

Since this militarized aid scheme began, hundreds of Palestinians have been killed and thousands injured – many while desperately trying to reach food. Children are dying from starvation. Even aid workers are standing in food lines. This is not a humanitarian response. It is a violation of international law and a grotesque misuse of the term “humanitarian.”

The international community cannot accept a system where civilians must risk death for food. The government of Israel’s illegal blockade and restrictions have dismantled the existing UN-led system that could safely and effectively deliver aid. The GHF has replaced 400 civilian-run distribution points with four heavily militarized sites, creating chaos and mass casualties.

As my elected representative, I urge you to:

- Reject any U.S. funding or support for militarized aid schemes in Gaza and demand the restoration of the UN-led humanitarian coordination mechanism

- Press for the immediate lifting of the illegal blockade and an end to restrictions on food, fuel, and medical supplies

- Support an immediate and sustained ceasefire to allow aid to reach civilians

- Take action to immediately suspend the supply, sale or transfer, including transit and trans-shipment, to Israel of all weapons, munitions and other military and security equipment.

The U.S. must not provide any support to these atrocities. It is time to act with urgency, accountability, and humanity. Lives are hanging in the balance.
