Urge Congress to Pass the Transgender Health Care Access Act

All people have the right to health care — and gender affirming or transition-related care is health care, too. Gender affirming care greatly improves the mental and overall wellbeing of transgender and non-binary people and helps them to live healthy and safe lives. It is not a single category of services but instead is a range of services, including mental health care, medical care, and social services.

Gender-affirming care helps transgender and non-binary people live openly and authentically as their true selves. Just like any other form of healthcare, it also helps trans and non-binary people live safe and healthy lives.

Yet it has been under constant attack at the state and federal level. Anti-LGBTQ+ groups and legislators across the country have worked to override the recommendations of the American medical establishment and introduce hundreds of bills that target people's right to age-appropriate, medically necessary care.

Take Action: Tell your elected leaders to support the Transgender Health Care Access Act (H.R 2487) and send a clear message that transgender rights are human rights — and that their constituents demand they support the lives and health of transgender and non-binary people!
