Over the past month, Bangladesh witnessed the deadliest crackdown against protesters in the country’s post-independence history.

What started as a peaceful protest resulted in a severe crackdown from the police, military, and paramilitary groups. Violence led to the deaths of more than 300 people, with thousands injured and over 10,000 believed to have been arrested or arbitrarily detained.

Since then, the prime minister has resigned and the country is setting up an interim government.
