With the fall of Roe v Wade, millions across the country have lost the right to control their own bodies and decide whether or not to carry a pregnancy to term. In Arizona, our own bodies and rights also hang in the balance! In March 2022, AZ Governor Ducey signed a 15-week abortion ban, and recently, Arizona’s Supreme Court upheld the total abortion ban created back in 1864. To be clear: every ban on abortion is extreme-- the only person who should get to decide whether or not to carry a pregnancy to term is the pregnant person.

Whatever someone's feelings are about abortion, no one should be forced by the state to be pregnant — everyone deserves to decide what is best for their body.

But we have the chance in Arizona to enshrine the right to abortion in the state constitution.

Amnesty International is working in alongside the Arizona Abortion Access Coalition to collect over 400,000 signatures by July 3rd so that there will be a ballot initiative in the November election to protect the right to abortion in the state. We have hit important markers on signature collection, but we need to collect additional signatures to ensure the ballot initiative is on the November ballot — and WE NEED YOUR HELP!
