Texas: Stop the Execution of Rodney Reed

Rodney Reed is on death row despite expert and other evidence that calls the reliability of his conviction into serious doubt. There is too much doubt to go forward, urge Texas officials to halt the execution!

A recent petition filed by the Innocence Project on behalf of Rodney Reed lays out new evidence that it argues "demonstrates that the state’s theory of Mr. Reed’s guilt is impossible."

The new evidence includes the opinion of three respected forensic pathologists, as well as two witnesses who knew the victim and corroborate Mr. Reed's claims that he had a consensual sexual relationship with her.

Amnesty International opposes the death penalty in all cases without exception as a violation of the right to life as recognized in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the ultimate cruel, inhuman and degrading punishment.

Texas officials must act now to stop his execution.

Tell Governor Abbott and the members of the Board of Pardons and Paroles that there is #TooMuchDoubt and to grant clemency now!
