President Obama: Stop Surveillance Secrecy and Hunt for Whistleblowers

action27656.jpg Recent revelations about the alleged reach of the US National Security Agency (NSA)'s surveillance efforts, and the government’s overzealous efforts to hunt down whistleblowers, raise serious questions about President Obama's respect for the right to privacy and human rights.

It also highlights yet another aspect of the US government's roll-back of human rights in the name of national security, which also extends to indefinite detention at Guantanamo, secrecy about drone killings, and impunity for torture.

Take a stand for our rights. Demand that President Obama explain the full extent of his mass surveillance program and not prosecute anyone for disclosing information about the government’s human rights violations.
