Pass the Youth PROMISE Act to help address gun violence in our cities

Violence affects everyone in Chicago, but it is particularly devastating for the City's youth. From 2008-2012, almost half of Chicago's 2,389 homicide victims were killed before their 25th birthdays. Up to 80 percent of Chicago's murders and shootings are gang-related.

The Youth PROMISE Act is bi-partisan bill that would fund, implement and evaluate locally run youth and gang violence intervention and prevention programs, including in Chicago. Please call on Congress to pass the federal Youth PROMISE Act to help cities address gun violence. Read More
